A preserved-forest pen stand with a wheat-husk mug and a cork desk set.

The Forest Terra pen stand holds preserved moss and flowers in a clear acrylic compartment beside the pens — sealed, so it never needs watering. A 450 ml wheat-husk mug with a cork grip band and a bamboo lid does the daily coffee. Cork, honey and a small forest pod fill out the desk around them.

• The pen stand is the anchor and it is permanent. Preserved botanicals under acrylic hold their colour indefinitely, so it stays on the desk rather than going into a drawer.
• The mug is the piece with daily contact. Wheat-husk fibre with a cork grip band and a silicone-sealed bamboo lid — it goes to the desk every morning.
• Wheat husk is a milling byproduct and cork is bark that regrows over about a decade — two raw honey bottles and two cork coasters here are made the same way. The beeswax burns from a honey byproduct instead of a petroleum distillate.
• A rigid gift box, 10 × 10 × 4", in deep navy matte with a grosgrain ribbon tie. It opens like a lidded box rather than a carton.
