A four-inch Ganesha stands in preserved moss and flowers under clear acrylic, sealed on a recycled-polymer base and finished for good. The rest of the box is built to be used up over the following months rather than opened once. A diya-and-bloom board in a cotton pouch handles the evening itself.

• The board game is the piece people are surprised by. Ten laser-cut MDF playing pieces in a cotton drawstring pouch — it is what gets opened when the family sits down.
• Sixteen plantable things in one box: thirteen seed-paper calendar cards, a festive seed-paper sheet and three seed bottles of marigold, mustard and tulsi, all water-based ink.
• A rigid gift box, 10 × 10 × 4", in deep navy matte with a grosgrain ribbon tie. It opens like a lidded box rather than a carton.
