Eco - The Grove Station Cabinet

A nine-inch Forest Grove station plus an insulated bottle, in a pine cabinet with a drawer.

The Forest Grove station is the centre of this one: a nine-inch wooden base carrying a preserved moss planter, a pen holder, a card display and a phone stand as a single object. A 500 ml glass bottle in a woven jute sleeve travels with the recipient, leak-proof under a bamboo screw lid. The rest handles the festival week and then makes way.

• The Grove station replaces four desk objects with one, and the moss in it is preserved — no water, no light, no dead plant in December.
• The bottle is the daily piece. Glass inside a woven jute sleeve with neoprene insulation, a bamboo screw lid, a rope carry loop and a proper leak-proof seal.
• A thirteen-card seed-paper calendar plants marigold, tulsi and tomato through the year. The incense cones are made from upcycled flowers, and the magnets come in a tin rather than a plastic housing.
• A solid pine cabinet with the grain left open: an upper compartment and a working pull-out drawer below. No wrap and no laminate — the drawer stays on the desk long after the contents are gone.
