An eight-inch forest terrarium with a plantable calendar, honey and seeds to sow.

An eight-inch preserved landscape sits under a clear acrylic cover on a recycled-polymer base — moss, flowers and the shape of a forest floor, sealed and finished. Around it the box is built to keep giving after the week: things to plant, things to burn, things to eat. Nothing in it is festival-only.

• An eight-inch terrarium is a shelf object, not a desk trinket. Preserved forest under a sealed cover needs no water, no light and no replacement — it looks the same in a year.
• Honey and a beeswax candle arrive in a fitted tray, and the incense runs to twenty cones. Enough of each that they last the week rather than the evening.
• Sixteen things to plant: three seed bottles of marigold, mustard and tulsi, and a thirteen-card seed-paper calendar that goes into soil a month at a time.
• A rigid gift box, 10 × 10 × 4", in deep navy matte with a grosgrain ribbon tie. It opens like a lidded box rather than a carton.
