Three pieces and no padding. A 40-page notepad with a plantable cover, two recycled-paper pens and two 2B pencils carrying seed capsules, and a festive card holding a corked glass bottle of real preserved botanicals. The bag hands over as it is, with nothing to wrap.

• The card is the surprise. Most gifts at this level are printed matter; this one puts a corked bottle of preserved moss and flowers in the recipient's hand.
• Everything writes, then grows. Cover, pens and pencils all carry seed, so the kit has a second life once it is used up rather than going in a drawer.
• Five plantable pieces and no plastic anywhere — seed-paper cover, two pens, two pencils, all water-based ink, in a jute bag rather than a poly mailer.
• A 7 × 10" jute bag with a white net panel. It hands over as it is — nothing to wrap — and the bag gets reused afterwards.
